Genealogy at ECHS

Enon Community Historical Society has amassed a very large collection of Genealogical Research Information. Our Heritage Room staff is anxious to help members and visitors in the search for family records and information. We have family history books from local families, cemetery records, maps and files on family names in and around the Enon Area.

On-line & Digital
The Historical Society has purchased nearly all Research CD ROMs from the makers of "Family Tree-Maker", a very popular genealogical research family database. Along with the extensive collection of CDs, our computer system is connected to the Internet. Members and Visitors are welcomed to try their hands at "surfing the web" to find those hard to find facts about you family. Our Heritage Room staff will guide first time users on the procedures and techniques to accomplish this fun and very informative way to do your Family History Research.

Research Packets Available
Our Staff has produced a Beginners Packet to Family History Research available to the public. For a small fee of $1.00, your packet contains, basic research tips and forms to begin your research. There are also names and addresses of other sources of information. Stop by the Heritage Room, call or email for information on how to purchase your packet. (see information on the left side of the screen)

We Need Your Family History
If you would like your Family History available for use by other interested parties, feel free to send us all the information that you wish and the staff will be sure to include this in our Library and Files.

We are looking for the following donations for our Research Library. Do you have any of these? If so, and your willing to part with them, know that our staff will take extra special care to preserve your donation for years to come. Giving future generations the opportunity to look back at our life's.
